Plein air painting with life model. Lively painting of a beautiful model in a sunlit park in Atlanta. The artist did a nice job in capturing the dramatic sunlight shining from behind the model and casting long shadows. It took the artist three separate sittings to capture the effects sunlight and the surrounding atmosphere.

The painting took place at Hidden Lane Preserve, a historical park in Atlanta where many hundreds-years-old trees can be found. The model’s name is Nadia, a tall, elegant lady from California who has traveled the world and finally settled in Atlanta. This is an example of a good impressionist painting with all the right features: vibrant colors, bold texture, dynamic brushstrokes, dramatic lights and a romantic lady.
