SURIN JUNG
I am an international artist living in Atlanta. I was born in Thailand but spent most of my adult life in the United States. I learned how to paint since I was very young and I did quite well in watercolors. I was introduced to oil painting during the late seventies and fell in love with it ever since. After that, all of my paintings were mostly done in oils. I am particularly attracted to French impressionist and post-impressionist painting styles. Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Matisse and Bonnard are a few of my idols. I also love the Pre-Raphaelites.
Prior to becoming a full-time artist, I was an executive in the publishing and technology industries. Business has taken me to many parts of the world. I see beauty in everything and everyone. Art is my passion.
I am also a bilingual writer and editor. Six of my books in English that deal with Eastern philosophy and mental cultivation have been published to date.
